Art has always been much more than simply creating objects for me — it is a way to connect, explore, communicate, and grow. After many years dedicated to my own artistic journey in sculpture, collage, assemblage, and mixed media, sharing creativity with others became a natural extension of my work as an artist and educator.

Together with my husband, Steve Leeds, I co-founded CBArt Studios & Gallery in Superior, Colorado, as a welcoming creative space where art, community, and human connection come together. What began as a small garage studio during the pandemic has grown into a vibrant studio-gallery offering art classes, workshops, camps, exhibitions, open mic nights, and community events for all ages. CBArt is not only a place to learn art, but also a place where local artists, families, and creative minds can gather, share ideas, and feel inspired.

At CBArt Studios, I teach children, teens, and adults through classes and creative experiences designed to encourage curiosity, self-expression, confidence, and joy. My teaching approach combines artistic exploration with experimentation, imagination, and hands-on discovery in a warm and supportive environment where everyone feels welcome to create freely.

Influenced by my background in both arts and sciences, as well as by the many cultures and countries that have shaped my life, I encourage students to experiment with materials, think creatively, and develop their own artistic voice rather than simply reproduce a project.

From clay sculpture and mixed media collage to painting, assemblage, recycled art, and collaborative community projects, every class becomes an opportunity to learn, connect, and enjoy the creative process together.

Whether someone is discovering art for the first time or continuing a lifelong creative journey, my goal is to help each student feel empowered, inspired, and part of a vibrant and inclusive artistic community.
